The Journey 2

For almost three years we have experienced a difference in the way we go about our daily lives. Restricted, isolated and introspective, we have all responded to these challenges in different ways. These artworks record a more positive view of the effects of our confinement.

Three prints of our environments have been made with solvent transfers on rusted card. There are 3 artworks in ‘The Journey’ series consisting of 3 panels each. The wording is a simple statement of where we were, what transforming process we might have experienced, and the result of our time spent seeing our world and ourselves under these different circumstances. These prints are mounted on the old sheoak roof shingles that once covered the historic Albany West Australia hospital. During its life it too experienced a positive transformation into the Vancouver Arts Centre.
